I guess it comes down to whether you consider the risk of suicide greater than melting walls. In terms of actually treating or curing the illness though psilocybin doesn't appear to do anything: It just makes you feel better about HAVING the illness. Just for the sake of argument, ethanol doesn't cause hallucinations (unless you're so addicted you get the DTs. )
