There are some old rustic style buildings that are basically old "camping" compounds that are more my style. With lots of wood ( I prefer them minus the dead stuffed animals). Surrounded by more "organic" materials, the high ceilings don't affect me as much. The craftsmanship for these old rustic places with the wooodwork is amazing.

edit: And the stone FIREPLACES! :O


I like so many different types of architecture. I'd love to have a lovely rustic place like that in a mountain/forest/lakeside setting. Or some Crafstman/cottage-y place on the Maine coast. I mean, I almost always want something large and extravagant, but I find many styles to be pleasing.
