Whether your tastebuds are sensitive enough to pick up on it is an individual matter, but cucumbers have PLENTY of the ligands needed to activate tastebuds. PLENTY. If your brain is receiving no taste-signals while eating a cucumber, there is a deficit somewhere in your sensory system.


I go to Physiology when I want that.

I do not understand you silly people disliking cucumber...it tastes like green and water. It's a light, subtle, refreshing flavor great for ANY hot weather, and it's amazing in drinks.


Yeah, they taste like water and I don't like the texture. When I want water, I drink water. I just don't like cucumbers very much, that's all. I find them bland and weird.
