For me, it's definitely spice cookies. I have some now, and homesickness abounds.:P

For sure! I want to make ginger snaps.

Anyway, you:

Food weakness?

I really start to crave glazed salmon, spaghetti (or any kind) of squash, and BEER. So much good beer this time of year -- but the problem is that rum and apple cider or whiskey start to sound really good, too. And I begin craving red wine again when the weather cools.

Movies of choice?

Horror movies of just about any variety are certainly appealing right now. Just watched Vincent Price in Masque of the Red Death last night, and the local University cinema is playing a couple classics this month, Suspiria, and Rosemary's Baby, which are pretty much perfect for the occasion.

Music of choice?

Hm. If it's a rainy fall day I always want to hear A Silver Mt. Zion's first album. I also really crave chamber music such as string trios by Tchaikovsky, Mendelsohn, or Dvorak, but just about any small ensemble music from the romantic period really suits my mood.

Activities?

Frisbee, fires, just laying in the grass, maybe camping one last time. Anything outside! Walks in the cemetery or nature preserve, whatevs.

Anything I'm missing? (for example, reading poetry with the family is definitely a fall/holiday/winter thing for me.)

That's cool.

Am I the only person who sections the year off this way? Maybe it's odd and I just don't realize that, but I have season specific likes and dislikes. Do you?

This is the most wonderful time of year and I cherish it greatly, though it's an unfortunately very brief and transitory thing. I don't think it's weird at all to section the year and I very much associate things with seasons, right down to what kind of alcohol I drink and certainly the music I want to hear.
