I so agree! Antigone Send a noteboard - 13/09/2009 11:21:40 AM
I don't know how many times Geniac and I have talked about this.

One of my kitties, Iggy, needed major eye surgery a couple years ago, and I moved into the "sick room" to keep him company for the nearly 3 months it took him to heal. My husband mostly stayed downstairs with the other kitties.

One of my other kitties, Zuma, was very jealous. She was used to sleeping on or beside me, and I wasn't there for her anymore. When she was permitted to come into the room to visit, she passed a clean litterbox, climbed over my husband, crawled onto me and peed all over me. I truly think it was pay back!

We've noticed that sometimes the cats have a preference for who is going to pet them. If they just dumbly wanted petted, either one of us should do, no? But it's not the case. When my little Bobby-girl had an bad cold, you could tell that she felt so miserable. She is not a cat that generally likes to be held. When she was sick, though, all she wanted was for me to hold her. Poor Geniac was not acceptable. It had to be me.

I could go on and on...but...yeah, I agree with you!
