Local bonds/ballot initiatives? Want the only major road within 10 miles of your house tolled? - Edit 1

My State AG race is a joke too and most local ballot issues are of no relevance to me. I understand your point but face it, most of those smaller individual races are a guess at best. My point was I am totally unenthusiastic about this election year and I am sick of politicians in general. They are full of shit and lies. Fuck all of them.
That last isn't at all rhetorical; in the mad dash to toll every road in TX, the '08 ballot for my county had a referendum on whether not to toll the state highway that runs through here. Unfortunately, while the question was supposed to be on every ballot in the county, almost no ballots in areas affected by a change actually DID. The only reason it was ever discovered is because one of the people who'd lose thousands every year to tolls went to the polls specifically to vote on that issue (not the Presidency) and couldn't.
All politics is local, something the Dems should be playing up more as the national power brokers running the Tea Party head hunt people from all over the country to run against local Dems. Heck, the Republican Senate nominee in WV is such a "West Virginian" that his own wife can't vote for him because the courts say she (but, apparently, NOT her husband) lives in FL. If you've checked the ballot and there's really nothing on there that affects you then I obviously can't argue that, but you might want to call the County Clerk or the State Registrar anyway. Just to make sure the ballot doesn't have any Chilean flags, or lack any ballot initiatives, that it shouldn't.
