Or perhaps I should call it a "cognitive abilities test?" You do twelve little tasks that are deceptively simple (it takes about a half an hour all together), and then at the end it tells you about what each test was evaluating and how you compare to everybody else. It can be humbling.

This series of 12 cognitive tasks will test your planning, reasoning, working memory and attentional abilities to the limit. Brought to you by Cambridge Brain Sciences in collaboration with New Scientist and the Discovery Channel.

Anyway, I learned that I have really terrible visualspatial working memory abilities (so true! ) and am totally awesome at mental rotation. Hooray!

Also, note that two of the tests want you to listen to a beep for a signal to go, but the rest of them can be done with the sound turned off. Heck, you could probably do those two with the sound off anyway. But fyi.

It was also a terrible idea to take it after a ridiculously long day of work. I could barely remember 8 numbers
