Furthermore, just because something was decided at one point to be inferior and declared "the old horrible way!!" does not mean it is not worth revisiting. There are always things to relearn, reacquire and re-adapt to the changes that have come. And, who knows. Maybe, a couple centuries from now, people will look back and decide that a social contract is not the thing to lead by either.
You cannot discover that if you do not look. And you cannot change it if you are not willing to kick up some dust.
