I'd strongly recommend Jeffrey Lewis particulary the albums <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Em-Are-I-Jeffrey-Lewis/dp/B001V76E88/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290778057&sr=8-1">Em Are I</a> and <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/12-Crass-Songs-Jeffrey-Lewis/dp/B000UTZ506/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1290778057&sr=8-4">12 Crass Songs</a> which is his version of a selection of Crass songs and is actually quite excellent.
Three Irish albums I've been listening to lately are <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Body-Christ-Legs-Tina-Turner/dp/B00422ZNNQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290778402&sr=8-1">The Body of Christ & The Legs of Tina Turner</a> by Fight Like Apes, <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/White-Fox-Ham-Sandwich/dp/B00450AHGI/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1290778529&sr=1-3">White Fox</a> by Ham Sandwich and <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nameless-Cathy-Davey/dp/B003L4ZZP2/ref=sr_1_4?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1290778636&sr=1-4">The Nameless</a> by Cathy Davey. All are pretty interesting and I would pick The Nameless as the best.
So far my album of the year is <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Suburbs-Arcade-Fire/dp/B003O85WTY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1290778769&sr=1-1">The Suburbs</a> by Arcade Fire which I genuinely feel is getting better with each listen. I keep on changing my mind when it comes to picking my favourite track.
And just in case you don't own a copy, I strongly recommend the purchase of <a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Christmas-Gift-Spector-Digitally-Remastered/dp/B00006RY1R/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1290778906&sr=1-1">A Christmas Gift For You from Phil Spector</a> as the greatest Christmas Album ever.
Hope there is something of use to you.
Haven't heard the Ham Sandwich one yet though.

I really like some of the bands on your list... but how do you have Krautrock without Novalis?
