Also, my wife has an iPad I bought her. Stick with the iPad. If you must have 3G internet access everywhere, get the bundle that Verizon is selling with the MiFi included. I'm not impressed by the GalaxyTAB--at least not at $599.
What is it that is less impressive about the GT? I will probably get the 3G one way or another, just because this is a gift for my hubby and he's indicated that he thinks that's important. God knows why
He has really been eyeing the iPads and is lusting after one. I thought the GT might be a better fit because of the size, but if it's really not as impressive, I don't want him to be disappointed.If you're looking for an eReader, neither is great at that. You're better off with a dedicated eReader like the Kindle3 or the NOOK (not color). I have the NOOK and love it, but the Kindle is slightly better as a device.
Yeah, we have decided against a dedicated e-reader for now, but as I expect him to use this device for reading as one of the primary purposes, I thought the smaller size would make that a better experience and he'd get more use out of it that way.
