I find it hard to keep track of what people know and what they don't. But I'll try.

1. I really dislike the taste of smoked food. I am no fan of sausages, but I will sometimes eat them; but if there is even a whiff of smoke in other things I find it completely disgusting: whisky, lapsang souchong, smoked salmon, all of it is evil.


I would reckon that smoked fish is pretty big in your country (and all of Scandinavia in general)?

2. I knit. A lot. I have knitted for as long as I can remember. It gives me a sense of having produced something when I am stuck in my thesis, and that is a very seductive feeling.

3. I find it easy to solve the Rubik's cube.

4. I collect calendars. I don't mean that I buy a lot of them, but I am very careful about which calendar I buy and I don't throw it away once the year is over. This helps me keep one year from another in my head.

5. I used to eat paper when I was a kid. I sometimes still do (but only tiny slices, like the ones that are left on a writing pad when you have ripped off the main sheet).
