I remember this starting a geek fight once Isaac Send a noteboard - 06/12/2010 09:23:47 PM
Since e^x is independent of t.

This source of argument being that x might easily be time dependent, since e^x is clearly seen changing position during the joke and thus x=x(t)and d/dt[e^x(t)] does not necessarily equal zero
The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

Why is the "d/dt" part funny? I don't get the punchline but I understand the build up *NM* - 06/12/2010 08:56:53 PM 228 Views
Because d/dt of e^x is 0 - 06/12/2010 09:01:35 PM 482 Views
