But, yeah. If you're in the left lane, you should be consistently passing people in other lanes. If you are going SLOWER than people in the next lane, that means you are going too slow, and should get out of the lane.

I agree with that too. The problem arises when another slow vehicle is in the process of passing something, but not at the speed the other people would like to go. I would have liked to go faster too, but when there is clearly a line moving past a slow-moving object, I feel that one should wait one's freaking turn. Unless passing on the right can be done safely, in which case it's just highly annoying and rude, not my pet peeve.
