With the staggering number of woman in the country who suffer from domestic abuse denying medical insurance for it must not be that common or we would be hearing a lot more about it.
I suspect that it is only done in extreme case where a woman ends up in the ER over and over again but since the point of the article was to talk about how evil republicans are (despite the fact that in three years democrats haven't corrected it) I guess such things were considered unimportant.
