I don't know what is sadder.
The fact that they can do it or the fact that it doesn't get any airing in the news.
Nothing worse than when one party pulls out of bipartisan agreements for crass political reasons.

That "agreement" should never have been made. If those people need to be compensated, it's the responsibility of the city of New York.
