Anybody who relies on the television for any sort of factual reference deserves is a moron, whether news or documentaries. Even the theoretical speed "advantage" of television as opposed to print media is now destroyed by the internet which makes print media available faster than even television. The only advantage television has is passivity: it is a perfect "resource" for inert twits to have information happen to them and sparing them the need to check details or think critically about it.

Television is a toy, nothing more, nothing less.
