Sure, there was always the kneejerk extreme reactions (like this one) but if you skipped over them to people interested in those intelligent rational debates there were plenty of takers. Once, I was one of them, but familiarity has unfortunately bred a shameful amount of contempt, and maybe a little cynicism. Still, I find his intent and method laudable; sure, there will always be people quick to say anyone they disagree with about any topic have no right to an opinion, but that attitude relieves him of any responsibility to respond.
