I prefer a company that doesn't make me call customer service at all. I wouldn't brag on Apple for fixing a problem that shouldn't have existed in the first place. 
Not trying to say Dell makes a better product than Apple, just saying if it were me, shoddy workmanship isn't something I'd applaud a company for, regardless of how quickly they fixed it.
