They pump out a lot more stuff about us than they do anyone else, including countries like China and Russia, which is odd given which of the three is farthest from Australia and least likely to assassinate Assange. I seriously wonder from time to time if the whole thing isn't just an elaborate propaganda tool of the Chinese government. Doesn't it seem a little strange to you that Wikileaks favorite topic of discussion ISN'T the one that can't decide from day to day whether it should execute the last Nobel Peace Prize recipient?

But it's more likely that everyone knows the Chinese government is a bunch of SOBs so Assange is more interested in shouting, "'SNOT!" at everyone who thinks America deserves some modicum of respect. Not that the US is without sin, but if it were as bad as Assange likes to make it sound America would've fed his mangled body to sharks years ago. Instead it's another case of someone using the free speech rights a country protects to compare said country to Hitler. Saying he provided the information published by papers who aren't privy to his special five way deal smacks of just more narcissism to me. It was just annoying when he wasn't getting people killed, but now we've moved to the stage where his right to swing his arm is costing the lives of dissenters far more noble than Assange can begin to imagine. Just so he can shake his anarchist fist at authority for the sake of doing it.
