Exactly. He has always hated anyone but him getting the attention. Even those closest to him that started Wikileaks with him have abandoned him because they simply cannot stomach his narcissism and self-aggrandizement anymore. I think the papers he worked with had to deal with it because he had the information but as he becomes more and more discredited they have come to realize that they don't need to put up with this joker ad are parting ways.
The guy has a track record now. Internal dissent in his own organization, the Guardian turned and began criticizing him as extremely difficult to work with, now the Norwegian paper bypassing him and word today (that I read earlier) that the NYT is going to set up their own submission process for leaked materials.

I am not entirely against real whistle blowing but what he does is not whistle blowing. He is a vindictive, nasty, little person who deserves to be thrown on the dustbin of history and forgotten forever.
