And sleeting.
And we bought a 3-bedroom flat a couple of weeks ago. Did we tell you?
They keep insisting this is Spring; I keep looking at all the snow and assuming that's a bad joke. Nice job on the flat though; enjoy.

Scotland doesn't do Spring.
I'd have it imported, but have you SEEN the VATs and duties here?!

Thanks for the congrats.
Welcome.

How goes the counting down?
See subject line. It's amazing how much more pressure you feel in writing a sonnet when you know it has to be a substantive pledge to which you're binding yourself for life rather than just 140 relatively meaningless syllables that sound nice in succession. I sought counsel from an older friend who teaches English, but he's also a devout Catholic and consequently informed me, with regret, that he considers that a form of participating in the ceremony, which he can't do, so I guess I'm on my own. Perhaps that's as it should be.
We picked the hymns and the last of our bible passages tonight, while I waffled between not wanting to turn my back on anyone attending OR presiding over the ceremony. I think the last wedding that didn't involve I Corinthians 13 was Adam and Eve; it's nice, but has been done to death, and though I consciously sought to avoid it, there's really no way: It's part of the liturgical service. We're going with Colossians 3:12-14 (chosen by her) and I John 4:7-19 (chosen by me) if you're curious. I really like the section of Ephesians that says husbands should love their wives "as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her" but we concluded the Maid of Honor would probably break out her Viking axe™ at the part about wives "submitting" to their husbands.

I THINK most everything is in order at this point except for finishing my vows (six lines, or maybe five and a half, to go... ). moondog's getting in just before midnight on Friday and we're picking him up at the airport. I feel vaguely cheated; no bachelor party, but the BACHELORETTE party was Saturday and lasted from around 1400 till nearly 0500. Lene was doing up the menus tonight; I suggested she check with you 'cos I wasn't sure it was still considered "proper" to include a comma in "Saturday, 19 March, 2011" but Wikipedia verified it (to the extent it can verify anything). I'm debating whether I want to try to make paper cranes for each table; the anal retentive and the slob in me would probably combine to make it a week long job, and I seem to be coming down with a cold already. I definitely picked the wrong time to rediscover the CMB; I may have to go on hiatus again (the five replies that have popped up in the last hour notwithstanding). Norskkurs er ferdig, og jeg har sertifikatet å bevise det.

How goes your health and decorations? *should check in on FB more often*
