It was a major achievement and very important to the war, incorrectly claiming it was minor isn't going to change that.
The US, France, UK and USSR had all been trying to and failing to crack it for over ten years and still hadn't managed it in 1939 when Poland shared their knowledge with the UK and France - there is nothing to suggest that it is clear Enigma would have been decoded by someone else, the evidence suggests the opposite.
