Even though I'm writing a story involving souls, I'm an atheist and do not personally believe in souls. So before this, I'd not really given the soul concept much thought.

I probably should have asked this before my previous question. But the responses have really helped to show me that I should definitely get this pinned down for my story.

I would love to read your thoughts/definitions/beliefs about what souls are, as specific as you care to be.

This is all SO helpful for my story!!!


The soul as that intangible quality which makes you you. Its not captured purely by your intellect...or your emotions...or your personality...or your spirit. Instead it is all of those things, and how they interact with each other to make a unique individual.
