I can confirm that tickling a rat is far more fun that it has any right to be. Morgawse Send a noteboard - 20/04/2011 01:39:42 AM
I feel an odd urge to tickle rats now. I am sure it will pass quickly.

You could kidnap some? They are supposed to be good and intelligent pets, although they aren't quite soft/cuddly enough for my tastes.

I realized after reading this article that I actually tickle my dogs; I just never thought about it that way before. (It's more like, "poke here" - "poke there" - "poke here again" - and they get very excited and silly.)

They're not all equally ticklish though, just like people. Out of my current three one is *really* ticklish, she squirms like nobody's business, and two don't really care. I used to have one girl who was so ticklish that she'd put up with it for a while but start licking your fingers to persuade you to stop, and eventually squeak at you indignantly...

It's true that they're very good pets. They're smart and sociable, so they actually like interacting with people and will sit at their cage doors when they want to come out to play. As for soft and cuddly - I personally find their fur wonderfully soft and strokable and there is nothing as consolatory when you feel rubbish as a small creature licking your fingers and then going to sleep in your hoodie, but that might just be me :D

Mornings are still not for me.
