Because your link it really just random speculation. I think it would make more sense that they first learned his nick name then had to use fieldwork to find other sources for his real name. But of course that doesn't fit into the neat reality liberals have built for themselves so they just create a new one.

I don't know that they got this information form water boarding KSM but it is more likely than they fairytale your blogger through together where he held out until the questioners starting being nice and then he gave up the name. Wishing something was true doesn't make it true, sorry. I do understand how this issue hurts the delicate liberal mindset though. Since liberals tend to accept their believe systems as fact things that challenge those belief systems are often hard to accept and here we have two giant liberal truths being challenged. It is probably to much to ask a liberal to open his mind to the twin possibilities that harsh interrogation and Bush both played key roles in what they are heralding as proof that Obama will does posses leadership skills despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Mohammed did not reveal the names while being subjected to the simulated drowning technique known as waterboarding, former officials said. He identified them many months later under standard interrogation, they said

As a side note, whatever nutjobs claiming, it does not make sense to claim waterboarding shows credible resutls since:
a) KSM did not revealed his name under waterboarding (quote above), the real name was obtained several years later. It does not make sense KSM did not know the name since he's so close to OBL;
b) he was waterboarded >180 times in one months, which means he didn't reveal anything credible being waterboraded more than 6 times a day;
c) waterboarding been done in 2003, but trail grew cold in 2005, meaning whatever waterboarding produced were not credible;
d) Rumsfeld, Cheyney did not know about the courier lead was effective, which they confirmed appearing on Monday shows. Do you honestly beleive they would not jump on it for several years considering how they were trying justify torure in 2009 in all MSM?
e) In 2006, Bush dismantled the CIA group that was tasked with hunting OBL, meaning, whatever guys produced was not much;

I could go on. As I said, it just does not add up.

As side note 2, maybe waterboarding did produce the courier lead, maybe not. But the point is, this lead could've been produced by regular means of interrogation as well! The whole point of the OBL killing opperation proves it: more field operations, more tech wise guys, more analysis, etc. Claiming that the waterboarding was The Reason the outcome was achived is dishonest at best.
