And I don't care that he gave it to charity. It was noble of him and I applaud him for doing it but it was still money collected from tax payers. Some of the fees speakers are getting these days are insane and the money usually comes from people who have no choice but to pay it. Look at all the student money colleges waste on speakers. College is expensive enough without collecting fees to have Snooki to tell students to study hard but party harder. Support the arts by helping struggling new artist not by paying huge fees to have some rich famous guy talk for a little while.

Unless it was unusually high though I don't see the point of singly out Gaiman. I really don't like his books but I have not noticed him being especially political. Hell at least he lives in Minnesota. You would think he could have found a better target and the personal insults were completely uncalled for. I think he should publicly apologize.
