Not so much about the alfalfa (I know nothing about that other than horses eat it, but it doesn't sound like they did much damage) but about the irresponsibility towards his horses the guy is showing.


I assume from what the poster said that his family are farmers, if that is the case then this guy has left his horses in one of their fields for five days, letting the horses trash the crops they make their living with - that is seriously lacking in respect to me, to not just let your horses wander around someone's property for five days but also mess with how that person earns a living as well.
