Imagine if they could condense it into an apparatus that one could carry with them in a backpack. The implications for the welfare of troops, campers, 3rd world countries, etc... would be astounding.

If one gets particularly optimistic, one could even suppose that this has the potential to be THE cure for world hunger. After all, all animals shit.
