Most people are asking me what languages I speak because they need communication facilitated and thoughts and feelings are harder than felt need (imo)

My experience is based on being pretty fluent in American Sign Language and being called on often to facilitate communication between the Deaf and Hearing. This happens at *least* 2-3 times a week where I work. I don't mind most of the time but sometimes it gets on my nerves because people come to me out of fear and ever even *attempt* to communicate by WRITING THINGS DOWN!!!

Be able to explain thoughts and feelings.

2. How much of a language should you know to list on a resume or work bio?

Be able to speak about the harder aspects of the job you are applying for.

3. How much of a language should you know to list on social media?

Depends- is there a qualifier? Some places have them so you can put "speaks Swedish poorly" and "Speaks Sign Language Fluently" etc.

4. How many languages do you know and what are they?

Fluent:
English

Near Fluent:
ASL

Poorly: (Where is the street? I am hungry/happy/sad! I would like to eat Oranges, etc.)
Swedish, Spanish, Kosrean

I am currently trying to work on the Swedish and Spanish but it's hard to find the time nd with Swedish, hard to find the teacher.

I watched a TED talk recently that talked about how languages are dying and I want to learn more so that I can be a part of keeping some alive, at least.
