Some are quite ... nice, I suppose. Others just look utterly grim.

But I guess it was one way of remembering your loved ones, when photos were not as frequent as they are now. That'd be one of the few times photos were taken.


I find the photos somewhat less creepy than covering ones deceased family member's face in plaster and taking a cast, although I still find it very, very creepy.
