Is there some lack of understanding about 'tangent' maybe?

Look Joel, I try real hard not to criticize people about going off on tangents because I'm bad about it myself, but this is getting ridiculous and I have already asked you not to veer off and your response is to do more of it. While you have at least not thrown personal insults at me as you have others the last few days, and while there does appear to be some justification for having done that, I am not here, do not come here, and do not speak with you so that you can rant to me about how much you hate people I agree with.
The only possible way I can see your comments as applicable to what I originally posted about is if you are trying to prove me false by showing that recent public tensions aren't the byproduct of spotlight effects but rather the simple inherent evilness of the right wing. Considering your comments to others, you apparently believe that so maybe you really do view yourself as on-topic. If that is the case though, do not speak to me, as it would serve no purpose and you will not convince me that I am 'evil' and I will not disassociate myself from my ideology to change your opinion of me nor do I desire to to hear you cast insults my way. If that is not the case, than you have gone way off topic and I will say again, my point remains that politics has not gotten meaner or more partisan, and that where it has it is mostly done so from what amounts to Observer Effect. If you wish to debate that, I am happy to, if you do not, then don't reply to me on posts about it with unrelated material.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

when your position is intractable, don't be surprised when people refuse to work with you

Boehner was onboard with Obamas initial deal but cited his caucus as the reason he backed out of it.

I'm sorry, did I mention Boehner in my message somewhere? Or the deal?

Not at all; you stated exactly why I wasn't being tangential.

the tax cuts are set to expire on their own, they don't need to vote to cancel them.

Yes, but they voted to extend them last winter, which you insist was the Dems fault.
