.....which is that the government is too damn big and spends way too much. As such, we don't want to "feed the beast" with additional revenue. Spending has to be finally cut and cut significantly.

Also, the individual most of the time takes precedence over the nation since in our mind, individuals that are allowed to grow, excel, and achieve helps the nation grow and prosper.

Honestly, I am less of an ogre than I come across. I truly believe that one of the government's most important responsibilities is to help those that truly need it. But as I said before, I don't define help by the money spent. I want results, I demand results. But the government is so incompetent and it is normally the problem, not the solution. If this ever changed, so may my POV.
