I have zero desire to re-hash this and that candidate or pundits various 'questionable remarks', I'm gonna give you one quick example of a democratic candidate using language like this and that's it, you either will accept both sides do it or you'll assemble some kool-aid denial, either way I'm not going to sit hear exchanging barbs while you play ostrich:

Then Candidate Obama when addressing La Raza: "When communities are terrorized by ICE immigration raids, when nursing mothers are torn from their babies, when children come home from school to find their parents missing, when people are detained without access to legal counsel, when all that is happening, the system just isn’t working, and we need to change it."

I presume highlighting "terrorizing" is meant to be a reference to violence, if only accusing others of inciting it rather than Obama trying to incite it himself. But OK, that's your example, thanks; at least I have an idea of what you were thinking of, whether or not I agree it's equivalent to the rhetoric of Perry et al.
