The ultimate CMB condemnation: I, Cannoli, would have had the exact same thought. Cannoli Send a noteboard - 22/09/2011 11:52:21 PM
So today in the Church Office there were a whole bundle of wooden stakes sitting on a chair. Seeing them, I commented; "Oh look, it must be Vampire season."

The Church Administrator then said that I was the only person who would ever think that. I need my friends to assure me that this is not the case. Enemies are allowed to chime in, as well.

Of course, not being an air-headed liberal, I would never have SAID it where anyone I did not have absolute proof was NOT a vampire could hear. Church administrator is hardly a position to trust, either. They are not like pastors who must sometimes be seen in daylight, nor are they required to muck about with holy things, but they are perfectly placed to keep an eye on the clergy and even obstruct their efforts against the unholy spawn of darkness who walk this earth. If I was a vampire, I would find Church Administrator to be a GREAT gig. I would have left that bundle of stakes out just to see who among the faithful (IMO, crosses and holy water should only work for believers who use them reverently - if their power comes from God & faith, why would they work without the appropriate levels of respect? If any idiot can use them, or put holy water into a super-soaker, a la The Lost Boys, then napping in church would count as keeping the Sabbath holy, and so on) would make such observations and thus know who might be a threat! Way to go. You've just made yourself target number one on the vampire's hit-list. Even if the administrator is not a vampire, he could still be in thrall to one or a minion like Renfeild or something.

I think you can't fight physical manifestations of evil unless you're Catholic. *NM* - 21/09/2011 09:53:06 PM 135 Views
Indeed. Protestants go around scoffing at sacramentals and necessity for grace, until vamps come... *NM* - 22/09/2011 11:42:38 PM 161 Views

What else could it have been? If they are using wooden stakes for tents they are at least 40 years - 22/09/2011 02:17:55 AM 338 Views
