Hi Rafonauts

A reminder about the Gathering on 21-23 October.

The plans:

Friday: everyone arrives (if possible) and we go to a pub for dinner. Loads of good, cheap pubs in Edinburgh

Saturday: we hit the newly-refurbished National Museum of Scotland. It is marvellous. My favourite rooms are the animal ones.

We could also view the Banned Books exhibition at the National Library of Scotland, and/or go for a wander to find all of those super cool paper sculptures around the city.

I figure Subway for lunch seems the best plan. Subway or something similar.

Then go to Ben's after we've eaten something. (Or to eat something. We could order loads of pizza?)

Sunday: people depart over course of day. If weather allows we picnic lunch and have a relaxing morning. Weather probably won't allow, but we can pretend, yes?


What I need you to do:

1) Confirm whether you're attending, and the dates you'll be here.

2) Let me know where you're staying so we can work out timing.

3) Let me know what you think about the plans for each day.


Final Details:

As soon as I know how many are coming (including the Edinburgh crowd) I'll book a pub for Friday night.

And since I'm pregnant, and thus off alcohol (for the most part), I'll be the one taking loads of photos. You're welcome.
