I am interpreting this as a personal dare to show up and be, well, me. - Edit 1

In the old days of the Verse, back on Earth That Was, we used to pile into AIM chat whenever wotmania chat was down. Tomorrow evening, we're going to revisit that.

After careful discussion with my planning committee, we've decided that the best time would be from 4pm Eastern (9pm London time) until whenever. All are free to attend, but I've had interest (in dropping by at some point tomorrow) expressed specifically by such oldies as Wulf`gar, Missa Sedai, Kurrurrin, Taardad Maiden, §ol, MGB (before 5), and M&M Maddy. I've been asked to try and secure Geoff and Jarlaxle as well (because angry flaming was requested).

Firstly, I know, I don't have AIM anymore either (or I didn't until yesterday). Now, if you remember how this used to work, this will just be a refresher. Download and/or log into AIM (AIM). Be sure to uncheck any of the annoying boxes containing options you likely don't want. Once you've launched AIM, go up to Options and select Add to Buddy List > Add Buddy (Ctrl+D). Then type your own username into the field to make yourself a Buddy of yourself. Right-click on your name in the Buddy List and select Group Chat. In the box that opens, enter wotmania for the Chat Room name and join the party. Alternatively, "New Group Chat" is also under Options, where you can also type wotmania and invite yourself that way. The former option is the classic way we used to do it.

Please join us for a nostalgic chat evening of frivolity. Sorry, for the short notice. If the turnout is decent, we'll try it again sometime.

Oh, and if anyone is wondering why we aren't using a newer program such as Skype... well, it's called Throwback for a reason.

Remember: It was your idea. For that matter I cannot guarantee I am not too elliterate to use even something as simple as AIM even with a basic how to manual ready to hand; I had to be walked through setting up Ventrilo. Does AIM have voice and/or video now, or have you not had it reinstalled long enough to answer that? Not that I am suggesting anything, merely curious.

Anyway, I will make every effort for old times sake, even a hoary murky time before my internet infancy (not to be confused with my still thriving internet infantilism.)
