In the mean time we have a shortage of some skilled labor jobs and a shortage of people with hard science degrees. We have to import electrical engineers at my company because we can not find qualified Americans.

I graduated with plenty of engineers and hard science degree people, and six/seven years later most of us work in business/finance roles instead of the fields we got our degrees in... primarily because it just plain pays more.

If you have bachelor’s degree in a field that requires a masters or PHD and you can’t find a job that is your own damn fault.

This would be me. ;) But instead of camping out in a park somewhere, I'm working on my resume and interview skills to leverage what I can do into what I want to do for a successful career.
