To have a successful road trip to the Gulf of Mexico. I love driving to new places, but I haven't gotten to do it enough. This will be my biggest trip yet.

To finish Jennica's Story, a solid final draft. This story has been simmering in my brain for the better part of eight years, and I'm finally turning the first draft into an actual story that might be pretty okay if it all works out.

To get my long term savings plan started in earnest.

To continue writing five articles per week for my Book of Beasts blog. I've been learning countless new things about all sorts of animals and feel as though I could have been a zoologist in another life. For example, did you know that the binturong, a relative of the civet in southeast Asia and also known as the bearcat, smells like buttered popcorn? Delicious. I've written just over 60 articles on the blog right now, so my goal for 2012 is to get that number up to 300.

EDIT - Also, to continue exercising five days a week. I'm not terribly out of shape nor overweight, but I want to keep it that way and I'm not getting any younger.
