I am sure they would have waited if they had known what you knew about the draft. I assume they had some reason to believe he would not be available and they wanted him so they moved up. They might have suspected so a popular and controversial player would put some ass in the seats. They may also have suspected that other teams might be willing to take a chance one of the most athletically gifted QB to come out of college in long time. But hey since you had so inside information they didn't you should have called them and saved them the pick.

You could have just explained how they already had a great QB and didn't need him, that might have worked as well but it would have made it harder to cut that none winning QB.
