Regardless of that, I will repeat my statement that NOT ONE REPUBLICAN I KNOW (spread out over NY, NJ, CT, IL, IA, NC, SC, GA, FL, VA and WI) cares that he served as ambassador under Obama.
and Democrats, for that matter, actually like that he has foreign relations experience (wasn't that a big issue in the last election?), regardless of how he got it. The fact that his most recent ambassadorship was to China, which is kind of a big deal, by the way, is even better.
Besides, he used to be in a hair band in the 70s. What's not to like?
