Maybe before the war, but their nationalism (and totalitarianism) is somewhat less robust than Chinas these days.
I no longer watch mens tennis, for the same reason I do not watch people in batting cages.
I remember you saying that you thought men like Andy Roddick are ruining the game. I disagree; Andy Murray is up there in the top four and he's basically serve and volley, no real power. The other top men are all-around players who can do all kinds of crazy things. You're really missing out.
I have not seen much of Murray (it has been a while since I watched much tennis,) but I am definitely more interested in shot making and rallies than watching two guys hit the ball as hard as they can and hope it stays in bounds. I wonder if there have been any statistical analyses of the frequency of unforced errors before and after wooden rackets were mandatory. Where is Bud Collins when we need him?
