So did Clinton. - Edit 1

If you believe him and you are a Christian, then you can accept that he, like everyone else, is a sinner, and that he has changed his ways after repenting. I think that is how Evangelicals get to supporting him, along with liking the venom of his attacks on Obama and his quick wit.

For the record, I do not want to see Gingrich as the candidate, much less as President. However, I can understand how morals voters can reconcile themselves with support for Gingrich.

I do accept that... believe me, it isn't his sexual history that makes the man non-palatable to me. It's just wondering how the vice that made Clinton the world's biggest scumbag to evangelicals is tolerated in one of their own.

I really hope Gingrich doesn't pull the nomination for the sake of my opinion of the GOP... even my fiance, who led grassroots campaigns for McCain, cannot stand the man. When she was the president of the student Republicans at Ozarks college, they spent most of their annual budget one year to bring Gingrich out to speak to them. He stood them up... and kept the money. On the other hand, if he does get nominated, it might be the one time in our lives we vote for the same Presidential candidate... or at least, the one time her vote doesn't nullify my own.
