I like listening to audiobooks or podcasts while walking/biking, and sometimes running, but mostly I prefer music for running. Actually can you get a bike? That might not be a bad way to expand your exercise horizons for not too much money.

I do want one, but I think I will try to wait until I come back after working this spring. The one I want is a little more expensive than we should afford right now.

I can understand that. I have forbidden myself from buying another iPod right now too. Mine is going on 10 years old and doesn't want to hold a charge for more than an hour of playtime. But I have a shuffle too (that's just a pain to use) and I anticipate getting iPhones by the end of this year, so I keep telling myself I can make do until then.

I was talking about the bike. :D

Foodwise I tend to get into ruts but I don't mind. I have a breakfast and a lunch that I like and fit my dietary preferences/requirements and are pragmatic for taking to work each day. That's my go-to most of the time, and I try to mix it up at least once a week to give myself something to look forward to and keep me from getting too rebellious :P And I try to keep elements of it fresh, so I might try a different kind of salad dressing each week for my lunch salads, or get a vegetable I don't usually include (like this week radishes looked really good at the store so those are a new addition).

I get into ruts too, because I'll have certain things in the house that aren't easy to serve up in different ways (hard-boiled eggs, yogurt, etc), but I am also getting better at mixing it up. I buy all sorts of different nuts and things, and I like looking for new dressings.

I have a homemade ceasar dressing recipe that I am just obsessed with right now. IT'S SO GOOD. I guess I should share that :D

It sounds awesome, but John will kill me if I make a dressing with fish in it. :P
