Pfft, whichever. Birdeye Send a noteboard - 21/02/2012 07:34:27 PM
and there are still 40 hours to go if anyone out there wants to donate i thought the original goal of $57k was optimistic, but this has gone far beyond what anyone could have expected. check it out at the link below...

My wife and I have been watching this since it was around $300,000 or so pledged. We signed on when he brought out the coloring books. Then we upped our pledge when the OotS board game bonus cards were offered. We love playing the game, although it does take a really long time.

It is really amazing watching how fast the numbers grow, both the amount of money and the number of backers. I suspect the latest surge is due to all the people who were waiting to see what other things he would add to the offerings, but are now putting in their pledges before time is up.

i actually wanted to jump in from the beginning but the prizes i wanted (non-book stuff since i have them all) were all premium prizes and went up faster than i could read the first update. i finally joined in when the 8x10 print came out and keep upping the pledge as each new thing is released. i kind of want the board game but with the success of this drive i think it will be available for some time afterwards

Aye. Actually, I'm pretty sure the board game was still available anyway. Regardless, make sure you have someone to play with before you get it. It takes a LONG time to play, even with The Shortening. Well, we don't even use most of the Shortening rules, as it didn't seem to make the game any faster.

It's heckava lot a fun though, just like an RPG. Up until you get bored of playing for a given session. Our last game lasted probably 3 hours, and we actually managed to finish it (I won JUST by the bonus points I got from killing Xykon). Most games we just go "okay, wanna stop?" "yeah, I'm bored".
