I don't know the genres enough to say Isaac Send a noteboard - 18/03/2012 09:24:39 PM
My standing attitude on jazz, dating back to circa 1999-03, was that I generally only enjoyed jazz if performed live in a smoky bar atmosphere. A friend of mine did make me a mix CD back then that I gather was 'jazz fusion' which had a nice mix of vocals, saxophone, piano, and drum I rather liked. It was definitely modern flavored since it's got a lot mixed in sound effects, but normally about as close to jazz as I get is like Fiona Apple or Sting or various others I like who occasionally incorporate it or knock out a song or two in the style.
