Doctors' handwriting is notoriously terrible, but I have yet to see a doctor fail to use proper grammar and syntax when typing a message. The same goes for engineers. If anything, engineers tend to be more pedantic and precise when writing messages.
But I've seen doctors that are certainly not good at communicating in any basic sense. It's embarrassing.
I should specify that most of those I've been around are psychiatrists.
