so ... I don't know why but I wrote death into the search box for furniture for sale on Craigslist. A lot of things came up ... multiple adds per day, mattresses, chairs, couches. Death is popular apparently. I noticed that the word death usually appears in very small type, in some of the adds it was in a passage in 6-8pt sized yellow font which referenced the old testament (Moses and Egypt). It's very strange. There was one legitimate use of the word death in a craigslist ad, a man describing his dresser and mirror as having been 'carved to death, with flowers ...'.
With the exception of that last, why are these strange small type passages in these adds? That's so weird.

I did a search in my area, finding a number of ads for mattresses with this hidden at the very bottom. I turned up several posts about randomly generated text when I copy/pasted it into Google, but nothing with links to Craigslist. My guess is that people are slipping this stuff into their posts as a way to snag extra hits with random keywords.
I didn't happen across any posts with just the word death hidden somewhere in the post. I've no explanation for that. Well, beyond cult messages and kinky shit.
