All the Romance languages and, of course, Greek, use the term in a form that is close enough, and speakers of Slavic languages tend to be intelligent and recognize the word (at least, the ones I know do). Speakers of East Asian languages would look everything up first, and so I don't think they would have a problem with the word, either.
