KFC, Popeye's, Church's--all horrible or plain at best.

A few months back Chic-fil-A opened a store in town and people camped out the night before it opened. For weeks there were lines out the door and across the whole parking lot of the plaza for the drive-through. After it died down enough so that I would have a reasonable wait in line, I went to try it. It was nothing special, just standard. I can only guess that the religious connection with Chic-fil-A endears it to many people around here.

Frankly, McDonald's has better chicken that any of the places I mentioned above.
