But then, I never read the comics or really even watched more than bits and pieces of the non-Nolan Batman movies, so I'm no authority on it. That's just the impression I've acquired about them, and if I somehow gained it, then I'm sure plenty of other people have formed the same one. So picking a more obscure, and frankly, menacing looking, villain was actually a pretty good idea by Nolan. And no, I don't believe he picked it with any agenda in mind.

But if Catherine Shoard is right, I can't wait for Batman to kick Bane's ass. And if Batman doesn't win, well, she'll have a very short-lived celebration because I can only imagine that the public reaction would be like the Mass Effect 3 ending backlash times ten.
